Removing interprovincial trade barriers and improving transport infrastructure would lead to 30,000 additional home starts per year, according to Canada’s national housing agency.

Though some measures were introduced earlier this month to reduce interprovincial barriers, more needs to be done in order to improve trade and coordination between provinces, according to a July 17 report from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
